Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Entry open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over who:
a. are in possession of a valid, current UK Driving License and
b. have disposed of their vehicle at an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) registered with Cartakeback.com Limited.
2. Entry is not open to employees of Cartakeback, any registered Cartakeback ATF, their immediate families and those professionally associated with Cartakeback or this promotion, nor those affiliated with the metal recycling, vehicle collection or motor trades. Proof of eligibility must be provided on request.
3. To enter: Step one: dispose of your vehicle at any ATF that is registered with Cartakeback, between 7th April and 6th July 2008. Step two: enter your details on the entry form on this website together with the registration number of the vehicle disposed of and the Cartakeback ID number which is found on the Certificate of Destruction that you should receive in exchange for your vehicle.
4. Closing date for entries: midnight 6th July 2008.
5. Only closed, accepted Cartakeback transactions with a valid Cartakeback ID number will be accepted for entry into the draw.
6. There is one entry per Cartakeback ID number and only one prize will be awarded per household per draw.
7. The prizes:
a. First prize: 1 x Mitsubishi Colt CZ1 3 door, manual, in red;
b. Second prize: 1 x TomTom Go 520 satellite navigation system;
c. Plus 8 runner up prizes of 1 x £150, 1 x £100, 4 x £50 & 2 X £25, all in Halfords vouchers.
8. The first prize includes 6 months road fund license, 3 year unlimited mileage warranty, 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty, 3 year roadside, home and accident assistance and first registration fee.
9. Insurance, maintenance and running costs of the car are the responsibility of the winner from the date of their ownership. Appropriate insurance must be in place at time of collection which will otherwise be delayed and will be requested, along with photo ID and valid UK driving licence prior to receipt of the vehicle.
10. The winner may be able to choose additional options, e.g. colour, equipment, but these will be at their own expense and must be paid in full prior to release.
11. Provision of the first prize is subject to availability but may be 28-56 days dependent on final specification of the winner’s car.
12. The winner may be required to attend their local Mitsubishi dealer for a presentation of the car.
13. Winners of the second prizes will receive their prizes by post to the address held on record by Cartakeback.
14. The promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal value if, due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, the stated prizes are no longer available. Otherwise no cash or other alternatives to the prizes are available.
15. Winners will be determined via a random selection conducted within 14 days of the closing date from all valid entries in a draw conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service.
16. The winners will be notified in writing within 28 days and prizes may only be claimed by the individual submitted at time of entry and not a nominee or assignee. The promoter reserves the right to seek proof of age, identity, insurance, vehicle ownership and status of driving licence.
17. Winners must respond to the winner notification within 28 days otherwise their entitlement to the prize may be forfeit and the promoters shall be entitled to redraw the prize without any liability for doing so.
18. The promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete, delayed or lost entries as a result of technical or other failures. Proof of posting or despatch is not accepted as proof of delivery.
19. Winners consent to taking part in reasonable publicity on behalf of the promoter without charge.
20. The winner will be responsible for any tax liability (if any) arising from the winning of the prize.
21. For a list of winners names and counties visit this website four weeks after the closing date and for a further four weeks.
22. The Promoter does not accept liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from this promotion or the awarding of the prizes or for issues with the vehicle itself once accepted.
23. The Promoter reserves the right in their absolute discretion to cancel the promotion without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond their control that make it necessary to do so.
24. Residents of Northern Ireland only- No purchase is necessary- collect and complete an entry form at your nearest Cartakeback ATF.
25. By entering the competition, participants confirm that they have read, accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
26. In the event of a dispute the promoter’s decision is final.
